Introducing the new-look Custom PC
The latest issue of Custom PC is a bit special. For starters, the cover has an exquisite spot-gloss finish that makes our dream PC build shimmer under the light. More importantly, though, we’ve spent the last few months listening to our readers’ feedback and buffing the Custom PC engine to a shine.

The first issue with our new-look design is now on sale at all good newsagents (and probably some pretty ropey ones too). With a dash of electric pink, and a shiny spot-gloss finish, it will be easy to spot on the shelf. What’s more, you can try it out for free. We’re giving away 5,000 copies to the first people who take advantage of this offer. Postage is free in the UK and heavily subsidised overseas.

The new design
At the forefront of the new design is an emphasis on improving print quality, and giving readers more quality content to get their teeth into, while also bringing back some of the classic Custom PC character.
We’ve condensed the Elite list from ten pages to just six, for example, with a focus on core component selections at various budgets. We’ve also removed a few other superfluous pages, making more space for features, labs tests and reviews. It’s not so much about ‘revamping’ Custom PC, as making it do its job better.
About this issue
Issue 190’s lead cover feature shows you how to turn a standard PC into a lavish system with your own personal stamp. We take you through the whole process of building a dream PC, from the initial inspiration, through to design, planning and cooling considerations, and then onto painting and cutting.
Also in this issue:
- Monitors with FreeSync and G-Sync
- How to cut your own air vents
- How LCD monitors work
- £200-£300 graphics cards group test
We hope you enjoy reading the new-look Custom PC as much as we’ve enjoyed making it. If you’re interested in the wonderful world of PC building, overclocking, modding and gaming, then order your free copy now!
